Waverley

“Hey, Mom?” Annabelle hollers from my bedroom.

Switching hands on my curling iron I reach for the bathroom door to open it. “Hey, I’m in here.”

Walking in she’s decked out in her Tinker Bell costume. I helped her with her “fairy dust” aka fake glitter tattoos and heavy highlighter earlier but now with the full effect she looks just like I’d imagine a real life Tinker Bell.

“Think Dad would let me move down to Orlando during the Summer? If I showed up like this, I’d be a shoo-in.”

I can’t help but physically laugh. “Yeah, right and then your dad's going to quit cussing. Where’s he at anyway?”

“He’s trying and failing to get Griff to fall asleep.”

“Yeah, that sounds about right.” Owen can’t help but get our almost ten-month-old wired up. The moment Griffin started crawling I knew I was in trouble, and now that he’s starting to wobble a few steps… I’m absolutely screwed.

I curl my last strand and start to run my fingers through my loose curls. “I’m sure you already got the party speech, so I’ll just say call me if you need me, okay?”

“You know I will.” She comes in for a hug, I stop what I’m doing because as lovely as my Belley is, she’ll be seventeen next month and our voluntary hugs are getting a little few and far between.

“You look beautiful. Don’t let any Pans or Hooks ruin your night.”

She chuckles. “I won’t, I’ll be home by eleven.”

Begrudgingly, I let go of her hug. The urge to remind her to call me if she needs is strong, but I hold back to not come off as a nag. The teen years have been a little rocky at times. With her first heartbreak, I thought Owen was going to murder the high school’s running back.

“You look beautiful too, Mom. And for heads up, I told Dad he needed to try harder with his costume.”

“Ugh, don’t tell me he just threw on a dark flannel and called it a day.”

“Not exactly, but you’re not too far off.”

I roll my eyes. I knew I should have just ordered him something when I ordered my Red Riding Hood costume.

I decide to follow Annabelle out and find Owen on the living room floor holding our baby up like superman.

“I see the nap was successful.”

Owen sits up and sets little Griff down on the rug to play. “We decided sleep is for losers, right buddy?”

Griffin mumbles, “Da-da.”

“Yeah, that’s right, tell her. No sleep.”

Annabelle and I look at each simultaneously with the same knowing facial expression.

“Well, I’m heading out,” Annabelle walks around picking up her brother. “Bye Griffy.”

Owen shoots off the floor and I know what’s about to come out of his mouth. Annabelle’s costume isn’t inappropriate in the slightest, and I know he knows that.

“She looks beautiful, doesn’t she honey?”

Owen’s slight for a minute, probably trying to fight the urge to tell her to be a nun for Halloween. No matter how much we trust Belley and how responsible she proves herself to be, she’ll always be Owen’s little girl.

Finally, sighing, Owen goes in to give both of his kids a hug. “Yeah, she does.”

“Thanks Dad.” Belley smiles, relieved. “I’ll be home by eleven. And yes, I will call you if I need you guys.”

I walk up to take Griffin from her, and she waves on her way out. When the door clicks behind her, Owen turns to me. “When did her curfew get extended to eleven?”

“Since it’s a Saturday night, and she got an A on her English paper.” Owen sighs again, but not in anger— in worry. “Honey, she’s got a good head on her shoulders and you’ve taught her enough that she knows how to handle herself. Not to mention, I know you texted Levi to closely monitor the neighborhood that she’s going to tonight.”

“You’re right,” he grumbles.

“Of course I’m right, I’m always right. Same way I knew you’d halfass this costume. A flannel? Seriously, that’s it?”

I look my handsome husband up and down to find what I expected—dark wash jeans and a black and gray flannel.

“Wait, hold on, the best part.” Owen unbuttons the flannel to show his undershirt that reads “Big Bad Wolf.”

He smiles at me, so proud of himself. He thinks he’s a fucking comedian.

“Owen, look at me, I’m wearing a corset for christ sake!”

Owen’s smile turns into a sly smirk and he steps closer to me. “Oh, I’m looking alright. You look good, Momma.”

When Owen leans in, Griff puts his chubby little hand on his chest. “Mama,” he babbles, then rests his head on my shoulder as if he’s staking his claim.

“Ope.” I laugh.

“Hey, now here’s where we’re going to have a problem, Little Man.” Owen pulls me by my hips to him. “She was mine first.”

Griffin repeats his little push and cuddles, and I’m a puddle. This is everything I’ve ever wanted.

After a minute of back and forth between Owen and Griff, Owen’s mom arrives to babysit until we get back. Winry and Graham have happily taken over as the holiday household and their Halloween party has to be my favorite. They go all out and this year it was a strict no kids allowed policy. Which I’m honestly a little excited for.

I’m so in love with my children it’s annoying, but having alone time with Owen keeps me sane. He refills my cup. Revitalizes my soul. All that sappy crappy. What is it they say? The key is to keep dating even though you’re married. So yeah, even though I’m going to miss my baby like crazy and worry about Annabelle at her party… I’m going to take a deep breath and remind myself to date my big bad wolf.

By the time we get to Winry’s the party’s already in full swing. As Owen opens the truck door I can already hear the Halloween music blaring from inside. There’s a fog machine going from their porch and skeletons climbing out of the ground and bushes. Carved pumpkins are lit then one painted all pink with both Georgia and Gia’s hand prints on them.

Owen chuckles next to me. “I can’t even imagine what the inside looks like.”

“Winry said she’s been decorating for two days straight. She didn’t want to put up anything too scary in front of the girls, but she said she’s pretty proud of her work.”

“Yeah, well Win has no fucking chill so I’m sure it’s about to be over the top.”

Owen opens the door for me to head in first and let’s just say over the top is over the fucking mountain. The walls are blacked out with tarps and strobe lights varying from room to room. Black streams hang from the ceiling along with other creepy dolls and clowns.

“Holy fuck,” Owen mutter behind me.

“Ahh, you’re here!” Winry runs up to greet us with Graham following close behind. Win has on this flowy cream dress with flowers stitched on and fairy wings on her back, while Graham looks like he put in the same amount of effort as Owen with some jeans and a cream shirt.

“What are you guys?” I ask after giving my sister a hug.

“A fairy, obviously.” Winry gestures to her wings then picks up Graham’s hand showing his net. “And the fairy catcher.”

“Nice, it’s not every day that you get to catch a pregnant fairy is it?” I ask Graham as I place my hand on my sister’s small bump.

Winry swears this is it. They’re going to have three girls just like how we grew up which is exactly what both of them wanted.

Graham pulls Win to him. “Eh, the plot twist is that I caught her a while ago and just never let her go.”

“Very romantic,” Owen jokes.

I roll my eyes. “Speaking of. Are the newlyweds here?”

Jett and Wyla eloped on their trip to Nashville at the end of July, but they held a fancy-ass reception party earlier this month so we could all celebrate together. Win and I keep pestering Wyla about wanting to be a forever bride.

“Oh, yeah, they’re here. I think they’re in the kitchen. Wyla made him dress up like a cowboy.”

Owen snorts. “Made?”

“Hey, at least he did more than a t-shirt that said ‘Cowboy.’” I swat at his stomach, but he catches my hand and yanks me closer to his chest.

“Hey, only fun times at my Halloween party,” Winry snips. “The whole house is decked out but Graham set up a bunch of spooky stuff on the trails in the woods if you feel like venturing.”

“Sounds good.”

Owen

After mingling around for about an hour, I lost Wav to her sisters for them to take a million photos together at the photo booth. The flames from the fire Winry asked me to start are steadily growing so I take a seat on one of the hay bales but I don’t face the pit.

Watching my beautiful wife smile and laugh is priceless. Even if I’m not the cause of the happiness, nothing beats it.

After a minute, the other two people who understand exactly what I’m doing come sit next to me.

“Do you think they realize how often we stare at them?” Jett laughs.

“I think it borders on an addiction at this point,” Graham says on the other side of me.

“Ain’t that the truth.”

We sit and watch our wives for what feels like forever and only a minute at the same time. Eventually, I’m the first to stand because it’s been long enough without having her next to me.

And as if she could feel the same pull I did, she meets me halfway. “Hey, I was just coming to find you.”

“I wasn’t too far off. The big bad wolf would never let his little red out of his sights.”

Wav rolls her eyes as I pull her by her waist to me. “You couldn’t have even added a few cuts to the flannel to make claw marks?”

Leaning in, I whisper in her ear, “I thought you could do that. You know I love to wake up to new claw marks.”

A blush creeps to Waverley’s cheeks and she bites her lip as she lightly pushes me back. “Mhm, don’t try to excuse the low effort with dirty thoughts, Owen.”

I catch her hand and entangle it in mine. “I would never. Come on, let’s go walk the trail and see what they did.”

Waverley follows my lead, my hand still in hers. When we start down the trail there’s a fog machine running on low, just enough to make it look eerie. Ahead I can see the small lights sporadically placed along the path.

Wav hums next to me as we start and rests her head on my arm. “It’s nice getting out of the house. We’ve been really busy this month, I feel like we haven’t had any us time since Wyla and Jett’s party.”

She’s definitely right, we have been hectic but in some of the best ways. We both know we wouldn’t trade it for the world, but nights like this are hard to come by.

I kiss the top of her head. “I know. I’ve got a few more vacation days to use before the end of the year. Maybe we can push those kids of ours off to a grandparent and we take a weekend trip.”

Wav stops on the track, looking up at me with excited eyes. “Oh, yes, can we please?”

My gorgeous Wav, I’d jump off a cliff if she said please. “Yeah, Darlin’, name the time and place. I’ll take you wherever you want to go.”

Placing my hands on either side of her face I kiss her slowly until she pushes back with a dazed but lustful look in her eyes.

Threading my fingers through her hair, I take in my wife again. “You look so beautiful tonight, Wav.”

She hums happily. “You don’t look too bad yourself. Even if you didn’t put in a lot of effort,” she snarks.

“Hey, now, give me a little more credit.” I reach under my flannel to pull out a simple black wolf mask. “How’s this for ya?”

“Ah, Owen! Where did you get that?” She squeals.

“From my truck. I had ordered it and forgot it was in there. I waited to get it because someone was lacking faith in their husband.”

Wav bites her lip with a smirk tugging on the corner. “I’m sorry, honey. I should have known my big bad wolf would pull through.”

“Damn right.”

She wraps her arms around my waist. “You look hot in that mask.”

“Hmm, wasn’t Little Red scared of the wolf?”

Her hands glide under my shirt, and she walks me back up to a tree. God, this woman. If she wants to play, then game on. My hands go under her cloak and squeeze her ass before roaming the rest of her body.

“What big hands you have,” she whispers.

“Better to feel you with, Red.”

Wav’s hands come out from under my shirt and go to my arms. “And what big muscles…”

“Better to hold you with,” I growl.

“And what big…” Wav’s hands travel down to my jeans, taking a small step back so she can get a better angle. Her hands glide over my cock and when I think she’s about to go for the button— she takes off.

“You better run,” I holler after her and she squeals.

She makes it no more than twenty feet before I’ve caught up to her and haul her in my arms. She squeals again as I carry her off the trail.

“Oh, no, please, wolf don’t eat me,” she giggles.

Setting her down. I rip off my flannel and lay it on the ground. “I’m not going to eat you. It’s your mouth I want instead.”

Wav gives me a mischievous smile then drops to her knees. I undo my jeans and she pulls them and my boxer briefs down. “You better not take that mask off, wolfie.”

God, does my girl have a mask kink? Fuck, why is that so hot?

“I think you were saying something earlier, Red? What was it? I had a really big…”

Waverley wraps her hand around my base then spits. “Cock,” she whispers, then takes me in her mouth.

“Fuck, Wav.” I nearly fall forward with how fucking good it feels. I catch myself on the tree trunk behind us.

I hear Waverley moan as she looks up to see what she’s doing to me. “You incredible woman—fuck, Wav. You are such a good girl.”

She takes me back even further, testing herself until she gags. I pull her back by her hair because if she doesn’t stop I’m going to come down her throat and that’s not how I want this to end.

“Stand up,” I tell her. When she gets to her feet I then get down on my knees, slowly lifting up her skirt until I reach for her underwear but find nothing.

“Christ, Wav, have you not been wearing any underwear all night?”

A sexy grin teases her face. “None. And as much as I like you on your knees too, I really want you inside of me,” she pants, each word sounding more breathless than the other.

Unable to help myself, I lick up her center on my way up since this mask doesn’t block my mouth. A shiver goes through her and when her knees wobble I’m there to catch her. Hauling her back against the tree and wrapping her legs around my waist.

My cock teases her entrance and she writhes against me. “You ready, Red?”

“Fuck me, Big Bad Wolf.”

So, I do. Slamming into her we’re already near the damn edge. She squeezes me like a damn vice and I’m seconds away from coming in my beautiful wife. “You with me, baby?”

“Always, Owen.” Wav flings off the mask and captures my face, kissing me hard as I continue to thrust in and out of her.

I nip at her lip. “Come,” I growl.

Her back arches as she pulses around me. I fall more against her and the tree as my climax follows right after.

We’re both breathing heavily, trying to catch our breath. Wav looks into my eyes with a sly smirk. “I guess little red wasn’t scared of the wolf after all.”

“And I’d say the Big Bad Wolf was so in love with Red.”
